Founded by Anne Bruder-Sharpe in 2017, Anne Bruder Art (ABA) works with emerging and established collectors of contemporary art to provide a full range of collection development and support services. Our team’s collective 37 years of experience brings knowledge, care, and global access to our enduring client relationships.
Anne Bruder-Sharpe has been deeply engaged in the art world for over 15 years, holding a directorial role at New York establishments including Worth Art Advisory, Venus Over Manhattan, and Sperone Westwater. She has utilized a curatorial and art historical background to develop rigorous and revered collections for major contemporary art collectors across the U.S.
Anne is an active and committed member of numerous organizations, serving on the Artists Council of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Chinati Contemporary Council, as well as the New Art Dealers Association (NADA). She is USPAP-certified (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice), having met the standards for professional appraisal practice in the United States.
Anne holds a Masters in Modern Art from Columbia University and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree with Honors in Art History. She also attended an accelerated business program at Columbia Business School. While based in New York City, she maintains strong ties to her Texas roots and the Dallas art community.
Petra Bibeau is a curator and writer who has spent the majority of her 18-year career in galleries in the San Francisco Bay Area including Stephen Wirtz, one of the earliest conceptual photography programs in San Francisco. She managed Fraenkel Gallery’s experimental secondary space, FraenkelLAB, co-facilitating exhibitions guest curated by John Waters, Miguel Abreu, Richard T Walker, David Benjamin Sherry and others. Most recently Bibeau was the Director of Casemore Gallery in San Francisco and developed the gallery’s initial participation in Paris Photo and Frieze New York.
Dedicated to introducing artists from the West Coast to New York, Petra debuted her gallery program, P.Bibeau, in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood in 2020. Over the course of her career, Petra has curated many large-scale exhibitions and contributed reviews and essays to art publications including Journal.fyi, Daily Serving, AQNB and Art Practical.
Petra holds a BA in Liberal Studies from the New School for Public Engagement and an Art Business and Administration Certificate from New York University.
Mimi Walker has worked with several private advisors, artists, and galleries, with over 4 years of experience in the art world. She has managed exhibition logistics for curator and collector Jack Siebert’s Jack Siebert Projects on his inaugural exhibitions in Paris and New York—showing artists such as Louise Bonnet, Scott Kahn, and Emma Webster. She received published credit for assisting in the creation of a monograph for artist Michael Kagan, published by the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, and aided in the research and editing of an interview between Bill Powers and Larry Gagosian (published in GQ Style, Fall 2019). Mimi has assisted galleries including Half Gallery, Harper’s, Carl Kostyal, and Ortuzar Projects, as well as a former Senior Specialist in Contemporary Art at Phillips. She holds a B.S. from Westminster College.
